Eckhart Tolle's message is pretty simple 'all we have is the present moment so you might as well make friends with it'.

He talks about seeing the ego from the perspective of the ovserver and remembering that all we really have is this present moment. That any suffering is a creation of resisting this moment and wishing it to be different.
