To say that I'm in love with oracle, angel, lightworker and any other spiritual card deck is an understatement! Last month I think I purchased 6 decks! (A bit of an obsession, last month, that had a big underlying link to a massive shift I was going through at the time, but that's a whole other story!) I love how I can rely on my cards to hold space for me... When I'm in need of some space to be held in and I'm not around those who offer me the divine gift of holding of space for me. My cards have my back. Well actually, my higher self and the universe have my back, I allow them to communicate with me through my cards. When I'm at a place of surrender, simply because I can feel tension in my body and recognise that's what I need. Or I've hit the end point and can not see another way, and my surrender is a cry for help for some guidance for my highest good, from my higher self. In times of seeking clarity, understanding and a loving reminder that my life is happening for my souls expansion, I grab my cards. I either grab out the deck that's in my bag at the time, or I head to the box in my room that holds my beloved decks. I let myself be intuitively drawn to whichever is for my highest good at the time and pick her up. I find a peaceful space and take some deep breaths as I shuffle the cards, while thinking about the intention that drew me to pick up the cards in the first place. This intention could be anything, from: + Seeking clarity when I can feel my mind take over and my intuition is blocked, + Asking for the lesson in a particular scenario occurring or recurring in life, + Support in letting go of control and allowing other options to present themselves, + And many many more reasons... I shuffle and shuffle until I feel the urge to stop. I place my right hand on top of the deck and say 'Thank you universe for this divine guidance for my higher self", and then I pull a card. If I feel guided to, I may pull more. Or sometimes the card that I need jumps out of the pack in order to make herself known! I love a good card jumper! You know you really need to know what's on that card;)
I place the cards down, feel into them and read about them. I learned a BIG lesson about cards earlier last year from Kyle Gray, angel expert. I was listening to an interview with Kyle and at this moment I felt like he was talking directly to me. He said 'When you pick a card, NEVER PUT IT BACK.' Oops, I thought, I've been guilty of that a few times! He continued to advise that even when it doesn't make sense, place the card on your bedside table or somewhere you can see it until you receive the message. From that day I have NEVER put a card back and even seem to get the messages quicker and clearer. I actually don't think I've had many cards that haven't made sense to me since that day! If the guidance or the lesson in the card don't hit me straight away, I leave it there until it hits me. When I feel the message sink in I thank the universe for her guidance and place the card back in the deck. I'm constantly amazed at how spot on the cards are and the guidance and messages within them. It's rare for me not to have a deck with me where ever I am and I love feeling into the energy of different decks and the wisdom and guidance they offer. My favourite decks at the moment are the Alana Farichild 'Lightworker' deck and Kyle Gray's 'Keepers of the light' deck. I'd love to hear how you use your decks and which ones are your faves! A few of my fav decks are pictured below:) Have fun playing! Love, Steph xx
